Laying the Foundation For the Future
The need for a values-driven, self-awareness program begins well before early adulthood. Project RISE plans to expand its programming to include tailored curricula for high school and middle school students. Engaging youth earlier allows them to consider and develop their values during key stages of biological, emotional, and identity development so they can navigate the difficulties of growing up with confidence and clarity.
Additionally, Project RISE intends to develop and implement specialized curricula for individuals participating in court diversion programs (P.I.V.O.T.) and for those reentering society after incarceration (C.H.A.M.P.S.). These transitional moments often shape the long-term trajectory of a person’s life and can have a profound impact on their families and communities. Our goal is to equip participants with the tools needed to successfully complete program requirements, reintegrate effectively, and navigate challenging situations in healthy, constructive ways. In doing so, we seek to center our efforts on what matters most following traumatic or disruptive experiences: community healing, accountability, and restoration.

For participants in our reentry and diversion programs, the peer-led model connects individuals with mentors who have lived through similar challenges. This shared experience strengthens trust, accountability, and belonging. Graduates can advance into facilitator roles, creating pathways into peer counseling and community-focused careers.
